About
The Hip Replacements is a cover band based in Brisbane, QLD.
Three-part harmonies and songs from the 1950s, 60s and 70s are the core of The Hip Replacements, and they play them with enough energy to get the whole room dancing. The trio chats with the crowd along the way. Blueberry Hill, Be-Bop-A-Lula and Chantilly Lace share the list with Da Doo Ron Ron, California Dreamin', Build Me Up Buttercup and the Easybeats' Friday on My Mind, and the song list keeps growing into later decades. A standard booking is three live sets. Sound and lighting come with the band, and recorded music fills each break between sets. Birthdays, weddings and work functions all suit them. The band carries public liability cover and heads out as far as 200 km from Brisbane.
