The Fat Wallet

Blues sits at the heart of The Fat Wallet, though not the version you might expect. Fronted by singer Lauralee Faith, the five-piece gives the blues fresh, modern arrangements, and the set mixes old classics with far more recent songs, plus a few instrumentals. Geoff Sedgwick plays keyboards, Dennis Thal is on guitar, Peter Altmeier-Mort plays bass, and Danny Smedley drums and adds vocals. That blend of old and new works well in a room where only some of the guests call themselves blues fans.
