The Breakaways is a cover band based in Sydney, NSW.
Pub rock anthems sit right next to newer radio hits in a Breakaways set. The Sydney five-piece plays songs from the 80s through to now, and there's plenty of Australian rock in the mix: hard-hitting songs from Rose Tattoo, The Angels, Dragon, Mondo Rock, Sherbet, The Screaming Jets, Divinyls and AC/DC, plus Baby Animals, Powderfinger and Australian Crawl. Newer picks include Bruno Mars, P!nk, Sneaky Sound System and Jimmy Eat World. If your night has a theme, ask about their two dedicated shows, one all 80s and one all Aussie rock. Expect big drums, a solid bass line, plenty of guitar and strong vocals from players with years on the live circuit.
