The Blue Jays

Blues harp, dobro and double bass give The Blue Jays a sound you don't hear at many functions. The Geelong trio plays mostly acoustic blues, pushed toward swing, soul and R&B, with popular songs mixed in among their own. Annie McGlade sings and plays guitar, Julie Noble is on blues harp, while Dave Rackham moves from double bass to dobro and uke bass. Annie and Dave both have over 30 years as professional players, at festivals, clubs, bars and private functions, and Julie has spent years on the blues scene. It's a good sound for a relaxed afternoon party or a bar night. They travel up to 50 km.
