The Blackwoods Three is a cover band based in Melbourne, VIC.
While plates are still being cleared, The Blackwoods Three can ease in with a few acoustic songs. Then the rock starts. The Melbourne trio usually plays three 45-minute sets, and those often stretch, so plan on three and a half to four hours of music. Mostly it's old-fashioned rock and roll with a bit of blues, funk and pop, from AC/DC, Cold Chisel and The Angels to Stevie Wonder, Bowie, The Church and Springsteen. They like to pull guests into the show. A full PA with subwoofer comes with them, plus lighting, effects and music for the breaks. Give them a roofed space no smaller than 3 metres square, one normal power point, and a hard, flat base for the drums if they're on grass. Between them the three have more than 40 years on stage, and they travel up to 100 km.
