The Beehives

Big hair, bold make-up and period costumes come as standard with The Beehives. Miss Mandy, Lee and Tamara are a singing and dancing trio from the Gold Coast, working through the girl groups, soul and Motown of the 60s and 70s. Each had a solo career first, taking in musical theatre, theme parks, casinos and Channel 7, here and overseas. The set covers the Supremes, the Shirelles, the Ronettes and Martha and the Vandellas, with Carole King, Aretha Franklin and Dusty Springfield alongside, and it brings back the old dance crazes with Land of a Thousand Dances and Let's Twist Again. It's a show built for singing along and getting up to dance. Carnival Cruises books them regularly as guest entertainers, Queensland clubs host their dinner-and-show nights, and they've played the Twin Towns showroom and Brisbane City Hall's Morning Melodies.
