The Avenue

The Avenue is a cover band based in Mornington, VIC.
Count the instruments at a gig by The Avenue and you'll often reach six or seven. The Mornington band can switch between acoustic and classical guitars with three or four-part harmony and a full electric sound, and it plays as a three, four or five-piece. Songs run from the 60s to now: Wicked Game, Summer of '69, I Shot the Sheriff, Steal My Kisses, Better Be Home Soon and Cold Chisel's When the War Is Over, plus Irish folk from Christy Moore. With a bit of notice they'll learn a request. You can find them in Irish bars and on winery balconies around the Peninsula. They bring good sound and their own lighting, and need power and some room. They travel up to 50 km.
