The Alice Bisschops Trio

West Coast jazz from the 1950s is the starting point for The Alice Bisschops Trio. Alice Bisschops, a saxophonist and composer, leads on alto sax. James Lockwood plays upright bass and Lee Jones plays guitar. The trio explores the music of the American saxophonist Paul Desmond, alongside Alice's own compositions shaped by counterpoint. Sax, guitar and bass weave around each other in a light, conversational sound, which suits a cocktail hour or an intimate dinner where the guests actually want to listen.
