The African Next Door is a motivational speaker based in Brisbane, QLD.
Patrick spent more than ten years in Kakuma Refugee Camp before a rare chance brought him to Australia, where he's now a proud citizen. Moving here brought its own challenges, and he talks about those as honestly as the camp. That story drives his talks on resilience, self-belief and immigration, which he pitches to schools and students as well as corporate teams. He has 12 years of public speaking behind him, and his presentations mix interactive segments with real examples from his life. He also speaks on diversity and inclusion, presents virtually and can MC, weddings included. Any setup works for him. Brisbane-based, he holds a Blue Card and travels nationwide.
