Tapestry Show

Four songwriters, one evening. The Tapestry Show is a tribute to Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Rickie Lee Jones and Carly Simon, women whose lives crossed in more ways than the music. Gabrielle Parbo sings the songs, backed by a three-piece band, and the stories behind them are woven in between, so the night feels like a storytelling concert, not a covers set. It's best with a seated audience, at a themed night or a dinner where people have come to listen. Expect the big 70s hits of the era, and maybe a nod to James Taylor along the way. The show is based in Melbourne.
