Sweet Sister is a cover band based in Perth, WA.
Hay bales in a tin shed is one of the odder stages Sweet Sister have played, and it sits in their history alongside plenty of weddings and private birthday parties. The Perth five-piece plays radio covers, from The Angels, Cold Chisel, Hoodoo Gurus, Divinyls and INXS to Pink, Katy Perry, Sheryl Crow, Gloria Gaynor and ELO. Cassandra Sweeny sings, with a range that stretches from Adele to Tina Turner. Bruce Angus plays keys, Peter Nessfield plays lead guitar and sings, Darren Piggott is on drums and Frank Longo plays bass and sings. They arrive fully equipped, with a professional PA, their own sound engineer, stage lighting, special effects and full black drop curtains. Their venue list includes the Ravenswood Hotel, Drakesbrook Tavern, Peel Alehouse, Malaga Tavern, the Mandurah Offshore Fishing Club and the Cruising Yacht Club in Rockingham, plus Peel Thunder and Harvey Football Club. Any kind of function is on the table.
