Suzanne Petersen

Suzanne Petersen can sit quietly in the corner with soft ambient music, or turn the set into a small show with stories between songs, and she'll ask which you'd prefer. She sings and plays piano, and she also plays flute, with a guitarist backing her on Jobim tunes like The Girl from Ipanema. Her own songs sit somewhere between blues and roots, folk, pop and a little jazz, and she'll happily write or share something original for a wedding. Covers include Let It Be and Bridge Over Troubled Water. Solo is common, though she's happiest with friends: a guitarist or bassist, a drummer to lift it into soul and blues, even a sax player. She needs power and a covered spot. Based at Newtown in Victoria, she travels up to 50 km.
