Sun of Africa

West African drums, dancers and masked performers fill the stage when Sun of Africa play. The Adelaide ensemble, formed in 2011, performs the Zaouli and Sapro mask dances alongside drumming and dance, and each show is shaped to the event. They've performed at the State's Multicultural Awards, at WOMADelaide and during the Fringe in Adelaide. As well as performing, they run workshops and hands-on sessions, which makes them a strong choice for schools and community days where people want to join in and learn something. Festivals, corporate events and private functions are part of their work too.
