SUGAR

Two voices, one acoustic guitar and a stomp box keeping time underneath. SUGAR are a Perth duo with a female lead and a male singer who also handles percussion, and a looping pedal lets them stack parts so the sound fills out more than you'd expect from two people. The songs are familiar ones: Oasis, Florence and the Machine, The Killers, Ed Sheeran and Hunters and Collectors among them. The list is long enough that requests on the night usually land somewhere in it. They first played together 17 years ago, and that shows in how easily they keep a room with them.
