Stuart Alexander is a musical duo based in Sydney, NSW.
Three 45-minute sets across three hours is the standard night with Stuart Alexander, though two sets of an hour and a quarter are an option when that holds a crowd better. It's an acoustic guitar and bass duo playing covers with a country and rock'n'roll lean: Big River, Amarillo by Morning, Cinnamon Girl, Galway Girl, Atlantic City, Depreston and Flame Trees, plus 50s and 60s dance tunes. They play at a comfortable level and can turn it up when people start dancing. You'll find them at The Rocks every weekend, and they write too. Bill Chambers worked with them on two albums of originals. All the gear runs off a single 240 volt outlet and fits in a corner, though a stage is better. Insured, they travel up to 500 km from Sydney and like a weekend country run of Friday, Saturday and maybe Sunday afternoon.
