Early in the night Steven Reinhardt keeps it gentle, and the energy climbs as the room warms up. Most of the set comes from the 90s and 2000s, though it reaches back to the 50s and up to recent releases, picked to suit the crowd. Solo, it's guitar, vocals and a stomp-box. A duo adds one more player on keys, bass, guitar, drums or sax, and the trio adds two. Mars In Leo is the high-energy rock 'n' roll trio with Conor Anderson-Vague and Lawson Kennard, playing originals, covers or both. The PA, an eight-channel mixer, two mics and a stage light all come along, and speeches or your own playlist can run through the system from your phone.
