Slow Train Coming is a cover band based in Toowoomba, QLD.
Slow Train Coming play everything live, with nothing pre-recorded, and at full size that means bass, drums, sax and a pair of electric guitars, and all five members sing. The Toowoomba band has been going since before 2000 and has played more than 300 shows around Queensland. The set draws on rock, pop, blues, soul and Memphis sounds: Mustang Sally, The Joker, Proud Mary, Doctor Doctor, To Her Door, Already Gone, Sweet Home Alabama and In the Air Tonight. Charity balls, weddings and corporate shows are their main work, with milestone birthdays, pubs and clubs too. For a smaller room there's a trio version, and a larger booking can grow to six with trumpet, sax and a second guitar. A single power outlet is all they need. Insured, and they travel up to 300 km.
