Slim Jim And The Phatts is a cover band based in Perth, WA.
Seven players, nearly all of them singing, and the horns come from inside the band. Slim Jim And The Phatts play rocking rhythm and blues, the style Slim Jim has fronted in Western Australia since 1986, first with Slim Jim & the Fatts Band. He's played more than 5,000 shows around WA, and he's compered and presented on air for Channel 7, SBS, GWN, Access 31, 6PR, 96FM, 92.9FM, RED FM and plenty of regional stations. The line-up has Slim Jim on vocals and guitars and David Fyffe on guitars and harmonica. Rhys Wood and Bernard O'Rourke both double on tenor sax, Steve Bloxham plays keys and trumpet, Shane Kelly switches between electric and double bass, and Wade Saunders drums. Perth-based.
