Sky Eater

Sky Eater is a Byron Bay duo playing its own music, built from trip-hop, dub-reggae and soul. Between them the two players cover vocals, saxophone, keys, bass and beats, so the sound comes out bigger than a two-piece usually manages. The mood is warm and slow-burning rather than frantic: a sax line drifting over a deep dub groove, keys leaning to the spacey side. It suits a sunset session, a laid-back festival stage or a late gathering where people would rather sway than jump. Both are highly trained musicians, and the set is original material.
