Siren is a musical duo based in Melbourne, VIC.
Acoustic and mellow one moment, a rocking dance floor the next: Siren can make that switch in a matter of minutes. The Melbourne duo is Lakota Vella and Rachel Trainor, both multi-instrumentalists, and they build their sound from electric and acoustic guitars, a drum pad and looping stations, topped with big vocal harmonies. The set list reaches back five decades, pairing soul classics given a modern twist with current pop, and there's rock and blues in the blend as well. Because two people can cover that much ground, they're a smart pick for a wedding that wants quiet music at dinner and a party afterwards. They also play corporate events, private functions and venues.
