Sincopa

Sincopa's night moves in stages. Softer background music covers guest arrival and the meal, with a roaming saxophone solo threaded through to keep the room lifted, before the trio switches to the party sets that bring people to the floor. The Vaucluse-based act is a DJ, percussionist and saxophonist together, and the saxophone solo alone can run up to 40 minutes over backing tracks while the player moves through the crowd. A booking gives you 90 minutes of live playing in total, split however suits the night, split three ways or two, and the DJ fills every gap in between. They bring their own sound system and show lighting, ask for about 6 by 2.2 metres of space and three hours' access to set up, and carry public liability insurance. They travel nationwide.
