Drums, bass, guitar, vocals, African percussion and mouth trumpet, all going at once and none of it looped. Simon Phillips is a genuine one-man band, and half the fun is watching how he keeps every part moving. He has played from New York to New Orleans and on to the Caribbean, and he calls himself a one-man party on the beach, which tells you the mood. He's a good pick for an outdoor party, a beach function or a bar night where the crowd wants a spectacle to gawk at between dances. Simon is based in Fitzroy, Melbourne.
