Serpent of Fire is a fire performer based in Denmark, WA.
Every character in a Serpent of Fire performance wears a costume made by hand for that role, and each show is made for its booking. The Denmark, WA company does choreographed fire shows, roving characters, dance and hula hoop work, and circus workshops, with performers trained in fire safety. Roving takes under five minutes to set up, and a choreographed fire show about ten. Space depends on numbers: a 2 x 2 metre area for a solo podium act, 4 x 4 for one or two fire performers, and 6 x 5 for three or four. Indoors, fire needs 2 metres of clear overhead space, good ventilation, and the alarms and sprinklers switched off. Cover includes public liability insurance, and the team holds Working With Children Checks plus an exemption from DFES for fire ban days. They travel nationwide.
