Seb Folvig is a cover band based in Tasmania.
Jazz, groove and fusion from three Hobart players: that's the Seb Folvig Trio. Seb Folvig plays bass, Aleks Folvig is on guitar and Chris McGuinness Terry plays drums. The music is energetic and eclectic, with plenty of emotion in it. What sets it apart is the improvising. The three have the technical skill to take a tune somewhere new on the night, shaping each phrase as they go, so no two sets sound quite alike. It rewards guests who enjoy hearing musicians listen to each other and take a few risks.
