Sea Shanty Circus

Sailors sang shanties to keep their bodies moving in time, and each job had its own song: the short drag shanty, the pumping shanty, the stamp'n'go. Sea Shanty Circus, a Melbourne comedy group, build their show on that idea. As they move their boat from place to place, the songs follow whatever they come across, so the sailor's world takes shape around the audience. The result mixes comedy with a working history of the songs themselves.
