Scott Griffiths

The piano on The Horses, Daryl Braithwaite's number one single, was played by Scott Griffiths. He also recorded with James Reyne. Scott is a keyboardist, guitarist, singer and composer based in Chelsea Heights, Victoria, and he performs solo. His grounding is classical. The ABC Concerto Competition gave him first prize back in 1982, and after that he turned to jazz, taking third place in 1990 at the Wangaratta Jazz Competition and playing on Bird Calls, Allan Browne's ARIA-nominated album from 1994. He has toured on electric guitar with Glenn Hughes and with Christine Anu. His original band toxtwo has three albums out. And when the Victorian Bali Memorial opened in 2005, one of his songs, The Lighthouse, was part of the ceremony.
