Scarlett Road is a bluegrass band based in Brisbane, QLD.
Fiddle, banjo, double bass and guitar: Scarlett Road is a four-piece of women playing bluegrass, Celtic, country and folk, with a bit of old-time and alt-country in the mix. Brenda Kelly sings lead and plays guitar and ukulele, Anne Marie Lawton shares lead vocals on double bass, Gabrielle Kerr plays fiddle and Helen Matheson plays banjo, both adding backing vocals. Storytelling runs through the show. The set changes often, but you might hear Wagon Wheel, I'll Fly Away, Blue Moon of Kentucky and Cripple Creek, Irish tunes, and originals like Wildhorse Mountain and I Know All the Words to Patsy Cline. Country and folk festivals are natural territory, as are weddings and themed events. They can bring full sound if your venue doesn't have it. Brisbane-based, insured and travelling nationwide.
