Sam Green's shows come with the stories behind the songs. Allow 60 to 90 minutes for the performance. Between numbers he talks about the craft of writing them. The music is hopeful and heartfelt, with Australian themes and some Jewish and folk influences, drawn from more than 45 years of material. He's a singer-songwriter, musician and author, and plays solo or as a duo. Walking Down Memory Lane, Life Is So Fine, I Think It's About Time and For the Ocean are among the songs. It's a seated, listening kind of show. Set-up is simple: a microphone, a chair and a lead for the acoustic guitar, with about 45 minutes to get the sound right. Sam is based in St Kilda East, holds public liability insurance and travels nationwide.
