Slide guitar and Delta blues are the heart of Sammy Hutchin's music, and he plays it with no nonsense and enough drive to get a party dancing. Performing as Sam Am, he mixes his own songs with covers such as Mannish Boy, Boom Boom, Sweet Home Chicago, Voodoo Child, Seven Nation Army, Zebra, Psycho Killer and Wicked Game. He grew up in Dee Why and has worked the Sydney pub and club circuit for years, with more than 1,500 shows behind him. Three of his tracks reached number one on Triple J Unearthed's roots chart, and in 2013 he made the final of the Bluesfest busking contest. A solo blues set like this belongs in a pub, a surf club or a backyard party. He's now based on the Central Coast and travels statewide.
