Sahara Dance Company

Veils, swords and candelabras come out when the Sahara Dance Company perform. They're the professional troupe of the Queensland Bellydance Academy in Brisbane, and their Middle Eastern and folkloric dances draw on Egypt, Persia and the Mediterranean. The size is up to you, from one dancer to a group of ten. Programs include a 1001 Arabian Nights show, Bollywood, Latin fusion and traditional folkloric pieces, and they'll put a package together around your event. You can book a floor show, dancers who rove among the guests, or a workshop where people learn a few moves themselves. It's a colourful choice for a wedding, a cultural festival or a themed corporate night.
