Rachel O'Hara and Paul Johnson are R&P, a Perth duo whose sound sits somewhere between a soul revue and a late-night jazz bar. Expect two strong voices in harmony, backed by smooth jazz guitar. The styles run through funk, soul, contemporary R&B and pop rock, with jazz blues and soul blues for the slower moments. Both have spent upwards of two decades working as musicians. Two players keep the footprint small, yet the aim is still to get your guests off their chairs, so they make sense for a smaller room where you'd like dancing without booking a full band.
