Rough Cut is a country band based in Melbourne, VIC.
Line dancers will find plenty of room to move when Rough Cut play. The Melbourne five-piece sticks to country from the 90s to now, with songs by George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, Dwight Yoakam, Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, The Mavericks, Midland and Cody Johnson among them. Four of the five sing, swapping lead vocals and stacking harmonies. Two guitarist-vocalists sit alongside a singing bassist, a singing drummer and a pedal steel player, and the steel and lead guitar parts stay close to the records. The band has been at it for around 30 years. Outdoors they'd like a covered stage; indoors, a basic raised one does the job. They can supply PA and lighting, which needs at least two phases of power. They travel statewide.
