Rod McGrath Music is a singer-songwriter based in Perth, WA.
It's Rod McGrath, his voice and an acoustic guitar, played live and old school. He works in 45-minute sets, and the mood stays easy and laid back, music that builds the atmosphere at a function while people get on with enjoying themselves. Most of the list is covers people know well: Khe Sanh, Tequila Sunrise, Ain't No Sunshine, Better Be Home Soon, Lay Lady Lay, Wonderwall, Cat's in the Cradle, Hey There Delilah and Dock of the Bay among them. A few of his own songs, written from life, slip in between. Rod came back to live music after years in the corporate world. Give him an hour in the venue before he starts, and while he prefers mains power, he carries a battery for outdoor functions. Perth-based, he travels up to 50 km.
