Robert De Castella

Put Robert de Castella at the front of a conference and your audience gets someone whose working life has run through elite sport, public leadership and business. He won the marathon at the 1983 world championships and took the Commonwealth Games marathon twice. After his racing years he held a leadership role at the Australian Institute of Sport, and when bushfires hit Canberra he was part of the community recovery effort that followed. Business is in the mix too, through the Deeks bakery venture. That's a lot of ground for one keynote to cover.
