Retro City Band is a cover band based in Melbourne, VIC.
Retro City Band's job is to get everyone dancing and keep them there. The Melbourne five-piece has a female lead vocalist out front, with guitar, bass, keys and live drums behind her, and the songs come mostly from the 80s and 90s with newer ones mixed in. Picture Love Shack, Kids in America, Sex on Fire, Just a Girl and Song 2 in one night, plus local favourites like Never Tear Us Apart and April Sun in Cuba. For a wedding, they'll handle the music from start to finish: acoustic love songs for the ceremony, the bridal waltz and parent dances, then the party, with an MC if you need one. Allow a stage or floor of at least 3 by 3 metres, reliable power, time to set up and sound check, and rain-proof cover outdoors. They travel up to 100 km.
