Regent

Regent String Quartet can carry a wedding ceremony from the first arrivals to the last photo. They start about 15 minutes before the bride's entry with quiet music while guests find their seats, then play the bridal entry, music for the register and photos, and the couple's exit, and keep going after the ceremony ends. Beyond weddings, the four players turn up at cocktail parties, business dinners, book launches, trade shows, conventions, anniversaries and Christmas parties. The music spans baroque, classical and romantic works through to jazz, pop, rock, nostalgia and film and TV themes. Plan for a level space of about 3 by 2 metres, good light, four armless chairs and full cover from sun and rain, since the instruments need protecting. Footscray-based, travelling up to 100 km.
