Beer bottles, spoons, lighters, even a mobile phone. Red Slim will slide just about anything along a guitar neck, and watching what he reaches for next is half the show. The music itself is slide blues, played with a lot of invention. It draws a mixed crowd too: guitar nerds and blues diehards stand next to headbangers and families, and each finds something in it. So he slots well into a pub afternoon or a festival stage, and just as well into a birthday where grandkids and grandparents share the room. He's a Sydney act.
