Red Hector is a rock band based in Canberra, ACT.
Aussie pub rock is what Red Hector are about, played tight and with no lyric sheets on stage. The four-piece has been together since 2015, sings in three-part harmony and keeps up the banter with the crowd, taking requests on the spot. Their set list pulls from Midnight Oil, Hunters and Collectors, The Angels, Rose Tattoo, Cold Chisel and Hoodoo Gurus, with Icehouse, Spy vs Spy, The Church, The Radiators and Powderfinger alongside, plus AC/DC, The Cars, Wolfmother and R.E.M. A planning note for the organiser: they need the stage two hours before and an hour after, a front width that ten people could stand across, at least two power points, and ideally a sound check. The gear is tested and tagged, and they hold public liability insurance. They work around the ACT and surrounds from Canberra.
