Ray And Shanti is a musical duo based in Perth, WA.
Shanti's voice is rich and sensual, Ray is a seasoned Perth guitarist, and together they take familiar songs and pare them right back, acoustic and unhurried, with their own twist on each. It's warm, easy music that sets a mood without taking over, which is why the Perth duo gets booked for private events and bar and grill venues. Planning is simple. They bring the whole kit, guitar, microphones, PA and speakers, and the system copes with 200 to 300 guests at a wedding volume. All they ask for is two chairs or stools, a power supply and about 30 minutes to set up and sound check. If there's any chance of rain, the performance spot needs to be under cover.
