Purient

Purient is the DJ and producer name of Kate Durman, a regular in Naarm's underground electronic scene. A set pulls together dance-pop, club tracks, down-tempo, dream-pop and wider electronic sounds, so the mood can sit low and hazy for a while and then lean harder towards the floor. That blend belongs in a late bar, a warehouse-style party or a launch where guests came for the sound as much as the drinks. Purient is based in South Yarra.
