Laid-back is the setting Probably Guilty play best: a long afternoon, an easy evening, people talking over a drink. This Melbourne four-piece puts its own twist on soul, Latin, jazz, R&B, country and older rock, with nothing on tape. Lyn does two jobs at the keyboard, piano in her right hand and bass lines in her left. Tristian takes lead vocals on cajon and congas, Kim switches between rhythm and lead guitar, and Arnie adds his rich voice. All four sing lead at some point, and the harmonies carry a lot of the sound. The band got together in 2019, and it has since taken festival slots across country Victoria and over the border in South Australia, plus residencies closer to home. Gear is scaled to the room, anything from a compact vocal PA to a large rig running four subs. Insured, and happy to travel.
