About
Polynesian Entertainment is a Polynesian entertainment act based in Brisbane, QLD.
A conch shell sounds to welcome guests, and from there Polynesian Entertainment's floorshow moves across the Pacific. There's a Tahitian celebration dance driven by drums, with a boys' dance, solo dancers and Cook Island dances, then Hawaiian hula with an implement medley. A Samoan siva show features the Taualuga, Sasa and Ma'ulu'ulu, and the New Zealand segment brings poi dances and the haka. The finale puts dancers from all the islands on the floor together. Guests are drawn in along the way, with a chance to learn the hula and have photos taken with the dancers, and Samoan fire dancers join in as well. Based in Brisbane, the company also supplies dance groups in Fiji, Noumea, Tahiti, the Cook Islands, Samoa, Tonga, New Zealand and Hawaii.
