Poison Oak

Poison Oak play indie rock with a punk edge, and they come from Townsville, where the band started with jam sessions after runs up Castle Hill. Adrian Tarca, Chris Reiterer, James Balthes and Ray Pearson make up the four-piece. Since forming in 2019 they've released three EPs and a debut album, These Suburban Dreams, working with the Sydney label The A&R Department on those releases. Music outlets including Happymag, Hysteria, Amnplify, Vents and Scenestr have covered the band. It's a loud, guitar-driven sound, best in a pub, on a festival stage or at a party that wants guitars turned up.
