Phantom Limbz

Slide guitar is the first thing you'll notice about Phantom Limbz. Liz Newman formed the band in 2021, and the live sound pairs that slide and electric guitar with looped drum and bass tracks, so it hits harder than the stage setup suggests. The music moves between blues, country blues, indie rock and singer-songwriter material, and the debut album Quotes of Note came out in 2023. Covers sit alongside the originals, including songs by Jimi Hendrix, the Rolling Stones, The Cruel Sea and Bob Dylan. It suits a pub, a bar or a festival crowd that likes a bit of grit.
