Peter Maddison

Anyone who has watched Grand Designs Australia knows the shape of the story: a big idea for a home, then the long, practical business of getting it built. Peter Maddison has hosted the show and followed those builds through, and before television he trained as an architect and set up his own practice. His talks come from the same place: buildings and the people behind them, seen with an architect's eye but told for everyone else. He has sat on architectural awards juries and worked with the Australian Institute of Architects. So he's well matched to a building or property industry conference, a design event or a client night for a construction firm. He's based in Melbourne.
