Pete Campbell & His Lazy Dog

Folk sits at the heart of Pete Campbell's songs, played both acoustic and electric, and with The Lazy Dog behind him he's now taking them out as a full live band. The Sydney troubadour pulls from a long way off: Appalachia, London and the streets of his own city, mixed through with blues, country and Americana. Among the songwriters he names as influences are Townes Van Zandt, Joni Mitchell, John Prine, Nick Drake and Bob Dylan, and closer to home Neil Finn, Bernard Fanning and Paul Kelly. It's music for a room where people actually listen, and care about the lyrics as much as the groove.
