Paula and Owen is a musical duo based in Sandover, NT.
Paula and Owen play it all live, no backing tracks, with Paula Hunter's classically trained lead vocals and Owen Ward on acoustic guitar. Add a drummer and they become a trio with more of a party feel. The set is modern, acoustic takes on hits from the 90s onwards, songs such as Riptide, Wicked Game, Under the Milky Way, Nothing Compares 2 U, Castle on the Hill and Everlong, picked because they suit the format. Together they've spent over 20 years working in music. Paula was once signed to Pride Music in Sydney, and Owen has a long background in production and supplying crew for some of the world's biggest artists. Wine bars, vineyards, markets, hotels, parties and weddings all suit them. They bring their own PA and need a 240V outlet, about 3.5 by 2 metres of space, cover if outdoors and an hour to set up.
