About
Paul Mason is a guitarist based in Sydney, NSW.
Cocktail hour can be solo jazz guitar from Paul Mason, then a full band once the night needs volume. The solo sets mix jazz, blues, pop, R&B and rock, with standards like Blue Bossa, Moon River, Cantaloupe Island and In a Sentimental Mood, while the band adds songs such as Dreams, Ain't No Sunshine, Khe Sanh and April Sun in Cuba. Paul has spent more than 15 years as a professional guitarist, including a long run as Jessica Mauboy's lead guitarist, and he's a founding member of Battlesnake. His own Jeff Beck tribute concert has played to sold-out houses, and he has filled Her Majesty's Theatre and Sydney's Factory Theatre. He brings his own PA, the band arrives fully equipped, and for bigger events he can arrange a sound engineer. Sydney-based and insured, he travels up to 50 km.
