Paul Buchanan's Blues Xpress

This is blues with the volume up. Paul Buchanan formed Blues Xpress in 2024 to dig into the rougher, harder side of the genre, so the set is rock-blues favourites plus a few deeper cuts most people won't have heard live. Paul sings, and his big voice needs a band with some weight behind it. Stuart Anderson drums, Steve Callahan holds down the bass, and the twin guitars belong to Allan Ellesmere and Morris Lord. They've already played the Echuca Winter Blues festival, Blues Inn Bruthen and the Mitchell Creek Rock N Blues Festival. In 2023 and again in 2025, Paul was a nominee for the People's Choice Blues Legend Award run by Blues Music Victoria. It's a good call for a pub room, a blues club or a party where people want to hear guitars.
