Papa Noel

Christmas carols with a jazz lilt are the whole idea behind Papa Noel. It's a duo, one on accordion and vocals, the other on saxophone, and they rework traditional seasonal tunes so people end up bopping along instead of just listening. They can rove through a crowd or set up for a concert-style performance, which is why shopping centres and office foyers book them as readily as hotels. Past venues include Melbourne Central, the Old Melbourne Hotel, the Telstra Building, the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, the Regent Hotel and the North Melbourne Football Club. They're based in Preston and travel Australia-wide.
